Sierra Chaplaincy is a team of dedicated, specially trained first responder chaplains. We are a faith based, Christian ministry with chaplains from all walks of life who provide psychological and spiritual first aid to those in crisis. We serve anyone in need regardless of faith, lack of faith, gender, ethnicity and sexual orientation. All are welcome to ask for a trained, compassionate, non-judgmental chaplain for assistance in times of tragedy and crisis.
Sierra Chaplaincy began serving the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office in 1990 on a reactionary basis. By 1992 a 501(c)(3) organization was formed and the Chaplaincy started providing services to The El Dorado County District Attorney’s Office, The Placerville Police Department, The South Lake Tahoe Police Department, and the Folsom Police Department. Over the years more of the area law enforcement agencies requested chaplaincy services currently the Sierra Chaplaincy is providing services to:

- El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office
- El Dorado County Probation
- El Dorado County Search and Rescue
- El Dorado County Fire and EMT
- El Dorado County District Attorney’s Office
- Folsom Police Department
- Placerville Police Department
- South Lake Tahoe Police Department
- US Forest Service
